We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join an existing roads and sewers gang. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Roads & Sewers capable of installing to an adaptable standard, must have a strong understanding of drainage installation, with the ability to work effectively in various environments. This role requires proficiency in using pipe lasers, reading drawings and working with concrete pipe up to 1050 diameter and poly-sewer up to 300 diameter to ensure the successful installation of drainage systems on new build developments. This project at DN12 will last the rest of the year with a good base of existing clients for follow on work.
Duties
- Guide the machine driver and top man as needed
- Set up for excavation of trenches.
- Lay pipes in accordance with specifications and ensure proper alignment and gradient.
- Proficient in reading drainage drawings as given by the site manager
- Experienced in laying concrete and plastic pipes.
- Capable of setting up pipe lasers, rotating lasers and working to engineers setting out pegs independently
- Constructing own manholes and benching
- Working with trench and manholes boxes up to 6m deep.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipelayer or in a similar Roads and Sewers role.
- CSCS card (mandatory).
- SSSTS or Supervisory advantageous
- CPCS or NPORS for plant operations (advantageous).
- Confined Spaces Training (preferred).
- Street Works (NRSWA) accreditation (advantageous).
- Must have own transport to get to work.
