Responsibilities
- Assisting with meal preparation and food presentation according to established recipes and standards
- Supporting the cooking process, ensuring timely and efficient service during busy periods
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces
- Ensuring all food safety regulations are adhered to at all times
- Assisting with inventory management, including stock rotation and replenishment of ingredients
- Serving meals to customers or staff as required, maintaining a friendly and professional attitude
- Supporting catering events by preparing food items in accordance with event specifications
- Following health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience in meal preparation, cooking, or culinary roles preferred but not essential for entry-level candidates
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
