PDR Technician
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Shift: Monday-Friday, 06:00-14:30 (40 hours per week)
Salary: £48.750 per annum
Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
We are currently recruiting for an experienced PDR Technician to join a busy automotive preparation centre in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced operation and work alongside an experienced workshop team carrying out paintless dent repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
The successful candidate will have previous PDR experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
The Role:
As a PDR Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting vehicles for dents, dings, and minor body imperfections
- Carrying out paintless dent repairs on doors, wings, bonnets, roofs, and other vehicle panels
- Working on both steel and aluminium body panels
- Collaborating with detailing and preparation teams to maintain workflow efficiency
- Completing repair records and documentation accurately
- Ensuring all work is completed to company quality standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Working efficiently to achieve productivity and efficiency targets
The Person:
- Previous experience as a PDR Technician is essential
- Experience working on both steel and aluminium vehicle panels
- Own PDR tools and toolbox are essential
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
- Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organised approach to work
- Competent using computer systems and workshop software
- Reliable, professional, and quality-focused approach
- Previous dealership experience is desirable but not essential
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
