About the role
The Governors of Ysgol Bro Teifi are seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to work in the school kitchen.
The successful candidate will work as part of a highly successful catering team that provides high-quality food for pupils and staff.
The successful candidate will:
Carry out food catering duties, including the preparation of drinks, vegetables and other food items.
Undertake general duties, including washing equipment and crockery, and cleaning all areas and surrounding spaces.
Serve meals, and set up and clear tables as required.
Occasionally, when the Supervisor/Cook is absent, undertake basic food preparation and cooking tasks under supervision.
Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other school staff, pupils and members of the public to promote a positive school environment.
Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or be willing to work towards obtaining one).
The ability to work through the medium of Welsh is desirable but not essential for this post.
