Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry tasks, including framing, fitting, and finishing work
- Undertake roofing repairs and installations with attention to safety and quality standards
- Perform construction painting to prepare surfaces and achieve desired finishes
- Install and repair plumbing systems as required on-site
- Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete pouring
- Conduct welding tasks for structural or repair purposes using appropriate techniques
- Handle electrical installations or repairs following safety regulations (where qualified)
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for various building activities
- Fabricate custom components or structures as specified in project plans
- Maintain a clean, organised work environment and adhere to health and safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work or related trades
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, etc.
- Competence in operating power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Good physical fitness to handle manual labour over extended periods
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments
