We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Barista to join our dynamic team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while delivering exceptional service. Your expertise in food preparation and beverage crafting will ensure that each customer enjoys their experience, whether they are grabbing a quick coffee or relaxing with friends.
Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist with drink preparation and presentation, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent guest services, taking orders and upselling menu items where appropriate.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and support each other in daily tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and helping others enjoy their dining experience.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders.
- Ability to upsell products effectively to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with guests.
