The Role
Our Trainee Programme is unique and an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take that first step into their career and learn everything there is about ABS. Within the Trainee Utility Administrator and Surveyor role, you will be spending time working and training in each department within ABS including;
- Operational Solutions and Surveying team
- Commercial and Auditing
- Streetworks
- You will also gain exposure and training within our Finance Team, Training Division, Internal Recruitment and Careers Department and Support Services.
You will join us as a permanent employee, but after successfully completing the programme, you will be able to look at joining a business area of your choice, to continue to develop and grow.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a dedicated and eager to learn individual who will thrive off learning lots of new skills and can be adaptable. You will also ideally have:
- A passionate attitude and be trustworthy
- Willingness to travel as this role will mainly be based within Head Office in Buckshaw, but also will include being out in the field when working within Operations Solutions.
- Strong education results in your GCSE's including Maths and English
- Strong education results during college or 6th form
- Having some knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel or PowerPoint would be of some advantage but not essential
- A valid, clean, Manual driving license is required also ideally over a year
- You will also require us to obtain a DBS
- Salary Range - National Minimum Wage to start
