We're seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our supportive, fast-paced team. In this role, you'll handle the resolution of support tickets via our service desk, providing 1st and 2nd line troubleshooting for user issues. You'll occasionally visit customer sites to deliver high-quality service, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively as a team player. What You'll Do
Your days will be varied and engaging, with responsibilities including:
- Delivering 1st and 2nd line technical support, including on-site assistance across multiple locations
- Troubleshooting issues with Windows devices, Macs, printers, and mobile devices
- Offering clear, friendly guidance to clients and end-users
- Logging and managing support tickets in collaboration with the service desk team
- Liaising with suppliers and third parties to resolve escalated issues
- Conducting site audits and identifying opportunities for process improvements

What We're Looking For
We're searching for a confident, adaptable individual who enjoys direct interaction with end-users. Essential qualifications include:
- At least 3 years of experience in service desk and on-site IT support
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms like Hyper-V
- Experience with Wi-Fi access points (e.g., Unifi) and switches
- A calm, methodical approach to troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A professional, presentable demeanour
Nice to Have
These aren't mandatory, but they'll help you hit the ground running:
- Understanding of Group Policy and mobile device management (MDM)
- Knowledge of backup systems, Azure services, and virtualization
- Networking expertise, including VLANs, Wi-Fi, switches, and firewalls
- Familiarity with tools like ManageEngine, Vipre Mail filtering, N-Able RMM, or similar platforms
- A passion for exploring new technologies and emerging IT solutions
