We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and hardworking Wedding Assistant to join our dynamic team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within hospitality, weddings and events. The role will primarily focus on weddings, giving you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the planning, preparation and delivery of weddings while developing a strong understanding of how the wider venue operates.
A Wedding Assistant will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the venue, while developing the knowledge and experience required to progress within the business.
Responsibilities will include:
- Gaining experience across our operational departments to develop a strong understanding of how Tyn Dwr Hall works and how weddings are delivered
- Working various wedding shifts, supporting with front of house duties, and gaining hands-on experience of the full wedding journey, from preparation and set-up through to guest departure
- Working closely with the Senior Wedding Manager, Wedding Managers and Senior Duty Manager
- Supporting the Wedding Team with the planning, preparation and delivery of weddings
- Assisting with the delivery of information between the Wedding Team and operational departments
- Daily administration, including updating and maintaining customer information on our CRM systems, creating and updating function sheets and other wedding-related documentation
- Responding to customer enquiries and ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded on the CRM system
- Arranging meetings and assisting with venue show-rounds
- Supporting with wedding open days and other events, ensuring you are fully involved in their organisation and delivery
- Taking all opportunities to convert enquiries into sales
- Communicating effectively with colleagues across all departments to ensure weddings are delivered to our high standards
- Flexibility to support other departments when required
- Any other duties and responsibilities reasonably required by your line manager

The ideal candidate will -
- Ideally have some experience within hospitality, weddings or events, although we are interested in the right attitude and willingness to learn
- Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and positive, with a genuine desire to develop their career
- Have a strong work ethic
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Have good time management and organisational skills
- Be IT literate, with experience using Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Have excellent communication and listening skills
- Be polite, patient, approachable and friendly
- Be able to remain calm and work effectively under pressure
- Be a reliable team player who enjoys working collaboratively with others
- Be flexible and understand that working in weddings and hospitality can be fast-paced, demanding and unpredictable.
This role requires flexibility across all aspects of wedding operations, including licensed bar duties and wedding shifts which may extend beyond midnight. Applicants must therefore be aged 18 or over.

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 (including weekends)
Salary: £22,600.00 - £26,500.00 per annum (Dependant on applicable NMW)
