Hydraulic Engineer
We are currently recruiting for a well-established and fast-moving heavy lifting company that takes real pride in its work.
We are looking for a skilled and down-to-earth Hydraulic Engineer with a strong focus on hydraulics who is ready to get hands-on and become a valued part of their team. This is a varied role working across a range of heavy lifting and plant equipment within a busy, practical environment.
As a Hydraulic Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Maintaining, repairing, and servicing a range of heavy lifting and plant equipment, with a particular focus on hydraulic systems.
- Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic faults, as well as supporting with mechanical and electrical maintenance where required.
- Carrying out routine inspections and planned maintenance to keep equipment safe, reliable, and operational.
- Working on equipment including lifting machinery, telehandlers, forklifts, scissor lifts, MEWPs and other plant.
- Maintaining accurate service records and ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements.
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Strong hands-on hydraulic experience, ideally gained within plant, heavy lifting, construction, or similar equipment.
- Good mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in plant maintenance, servicing, or mechanical repairs.
- A practical approach to problem-solving and a good understanding of health and safety.
What’s in it for You:
- Salary £45,000 - £49,000
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM + no weekends
