Job Summary
Tunnelcraft Ltd is seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Operative to join our team working on major tunnelling and infrastructure projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong health and safety background who is passionate about maintaining the highest safety standards within challenging construction environments.
Experience within the tunnelling industry would be a significant advantage, although candidates from major civil engineering, rail, utilities or infrastructure backgrounds will also be considered.
Duties
- Conducting site inspections and safety audits.
- Monitoring compliance with company procedures, RAMS and permit systems.
- Supporting site teams in maintaining safe working practices.
- Carrying out workplace inspections and reporting findings.
- Assisting with incident investigations and near-miss reporting.
- Delivering safety briefings and promoting positive safety culture.
- Monitoring PPE compliance and site housekeeping standards.
- Working closely with site management, supervisors and operatives.
- Maintaining accurate safety records and documentation.
- Supporting behavioural safety initiatives across the project.
Requirements
- Previous Health & Safety experience within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage positively with operatives and management teams.
- Good organisational and reporting skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
