We are looking for a Yard Operative / Van Driver to join our Aylesbury branch.
This is a varied, hands-on position combining yard duties and customer deliveries. You'll play a key role in ensuring customers receive the right products on time while maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient yard.
As one of the faces of the branch, you'll provide outstanding customer service both in the yard and on the road.

Assist customers with locating and loading building materials.

Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard environment.

Conduct stock checks and report shortages or damaged products.

Follow all health and safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Operate a forklift where licensed and trained.

Deliver building materials using a company van (up to 3.5 tonnes).

Complete deliveries safely, professionally, and on time.

Ensure loads are secure and delivery paperwork is completed correctly.

Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.

Follow planned delivery routes and schedules.

Previous experience in a builders' merchant, trade, construction, warehouse, or similar environment is desirable but not essential.

Good knowledge of building materials would be an advantage.

Forklift (Counterbalance) Licence desirable, although training may be provided.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to carry out manual handling duties.

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player.

Week 2
