Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Self Employed Courier, where you will be the vital link connecting businesses and customers through efficient, reliable delivery services. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a LWB delivery vehicle, including driver models, to transport parcels efficiently and securely.
- Plan and follow optimized routes to ensure prompt deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
- Communicate clearly with clients and team members regarding delivery times, package details, and any unforeseen issues.
- Handle packages with care, including heavy lifting and loading/unloading at warehouses or delivery points.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs, ensuring all parcels are accounted for during transit.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Manage time effectively to meet daily delivery targets while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar courier role, ability to deliver 80-120 drops , demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
- Valid driver’s license with no more than 6 points , experience with commercial driving is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with warehouse work or parcel handling.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients, dispatchers, and team members.
- Prior warehouse experience is a plus, especially familiarity with loading/unloading goods efficiently.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices essential for this role.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills to handle flexible schedules effectively.
