Tungsten West is restarting the world-class Hemerdon Tungsten-Tin Mine in South Devon and is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Mechanical, Electrical and C&I maintenance teams within the processing plant.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in the rebuild, commissioning, ramp-up and long-term operation of one of the world's largest tungsten resources.
** This role requires you to pass a Drug and Alcohol test on day one **
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise multi-skilled maintenance teams.
- Coordinate planned maintenance and breakdown repairs.
- Prioritise work to maximise plant availability and minimise downtime.
- Conduct toolbox talks, shift handovers and task briefings.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard.
- Manage permits to work, isolations and risk assessments.
- Support maintenance of crushers, mills, conveyors, pumps and rotating equipment.
- Oversee electrical fault-finding, motors, MCCs and VSDs.
- Support PLC, SCADA and instrumentation maintenance.
- Work closely with Operations and Engineering teams to achieve production targets.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 or completed apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical or C&I discipline.
- Previous experience supervising maintenance trades teams.
- Experience within mining, quarrying, processing, manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience writing risk assessments, method statements and lifting plans.
- Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and isolations.
- Experience using CMMS maintenance systems.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
