Job Summary

Cooking as part of a 1-2 man team in a cafe.
5 Days / Week,
8:30am til 4:30pm

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality food production
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Manage food safety protocols, hygiene practices, and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste
- Train team members on cooking techniques, food presentation, and safety procedures to foster skill development
- Collaborate with management to develop menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences
- Maintain a positive, energetic work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and professionalism
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary or hospitality setting
- Extensive food production and preparation skills with a strong foundation in cooking techniques
- Demonstrated team management abilities, including training, mentoring, and motivating staff
- Solid kitchen experience with knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to oversee multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, hospitality service, and serving standards
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure seamless service delivery
Pay: £12.71-£13.21 per hour
