We're looking for an Associate Pensions Executive to join our UK Pensions team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in pensions, employee benefits or governance who is looking to further develop their expertise in governance, audit and risk management. Working closely with the Pensions Governance, Audit and Risk Manager and the wider Governance team, you'll play an important role in ensuring the effective operation of the Trustee Board and its committees while helping to maintain the highest standards of governance across the UK Pension Plan.
What you will be doing

To support the Pensions Governance Team with its governance of the Group’s UK pensions and life assurance
-
arrangements (both DB and DC – combined assets under management of £5.7bn and c.170,000 members) by
-
supporting key governance projects and risk management activities.

Participate in design and ensure implementation of project management strategy to successfully manage and
-
deliver projects meeting the cost, timescale and quality parameters in line with overall objectives and needs,
-
Trustee and Group guidelines and policies.
-
Responsible for monitoring developments in the pensions industry and, where relevant, implementing changes
-
to processes and communicating these to the team.
-
Reports to the Head of Trustee Governance.
Your Tasks
-
Assisting the Head of Trustee Governance by delivering best-in-class governance services for the Group’s UK
-
Pension Plan.
-
Providing support to the Head of Trustee Governance and the Trustee Board in implementing annual business
-
plan and strategic business plan.
-
Taking a lead role in any projects relating to the Administration of the Plan including those involving benefits
-
calculations and member data (for example, GMP equalization / conversion).
-
Supporting the relevant working groups with their oversight of the project delivery and their challenge of
-
budgets proposals and monitoring the agreed budgets (such budgets could be as high as c.£5m).
-
Taking the lead on the delivery of the Pensions Dashboard and its ongoing maintenance on behalf of the
-
Trustee.
-
Working on ad-hoc projects as determined by Head of Trustee Governance.

Taking responsibility for maintaining the Trustee’s Data Management Plan, including the management,
-
monitoring and where appropriate, rectification of member date. Overseeing any data audits (regular and adhoc) and taking responsibility for agreeing the contractual terms with the Pensions Operations Committee
-
(POC) and stakeholder management of the contracts on behalf of the POC.

Providing support and governance oversight with any systems changes and IT Maintenance. Ensuring the
-
Appropriate controls and process are in place and are regularly tested.

Working with the Trustee’s cyber risk management advisers to ensure cyber security reviews of third parties are
-
completed, and actions / recommendations are followed up to a satisfactory outcome.

Taking responsibility for the maintenance and testing of the Trustee’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and
-
Incident Response Plan (IRP) and for ensuring the Trustee’s advisers and suppliers have appropriate BCPs
-
and IRPs in place.

Taking a lead role in supporting the production of the members’ annual benefit statements and the development
-
of the member’s website and APP and ensuring they are legally compliant.

Being the subject matter expert for the Governance Team for knowledge of members’ benefit and data
-
requirements.
What we are looking for
-
5 years+ experience within similar role (preferred)
- Proven ability to deliver changes to calculations and benefits with system providers
-
Maths and English at GCSE/O-Level grade C or above
-
Progress towards relevant professional qualification, CPC/RPC
