Security Control Room Operator (SIA Licensed) — Full Time
Join our Control Room team keeping sites across the UK safe and running smoothly. You'll be the calm, organised voice coordinating our mobile and static security teams, responding to alarms, and making sure every shift is covered.
Hours: Full time, 12-hour day/night shifts, Monday–Sunday (must be flexible — this is a 24/7 operation)
Pay: Starting from £12.71 per hour (depending on experience)
What you'll be doing
- Respond to alarm activations and manage key holding/release
- Patrol and inspect sites, buildings, and security devices for hazards, violations, or unauthorised access
- Lock/unlock client premises as required
- Support and supervise static security officers, including during incidents
- Handle customer calls and messages promptly and professionally
- Deploy and coordinate mobile personnel across UK sites in a timely manner
- Keep control room systems updated (lateness, no-shows, rota/staffing)
- Escalate queries and complaints to management and complete required reports
- Compile accurate incident and alarm activation reports
- Report Health & Safety issues per company policy
- Provide customer escort duties
- Maintain and secure any company vehicle used
- Represent the company professionally at all times
What you'll need
- SIA Door Supervisor Licence and SIA CCTV Licence
- Full, valid UK manual driving licence
- 5 years' checkable employment history and right to work in the UK
- Confident communicator, calm under pressure, comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- A team player who can also take initiative and make decisions independently
