Due to an increase in clients and projects, we are looking for an experienced engineer to undertake below tasks in variety of sectors throughout Scotland and North of England and Northern Ireland. We are an expanding business but retain strong family values at its core and have a great team. Company van, fuel card etc will be provided. The job will involve travel and nightshifts (uplift applied). The ideal candidate will have ECS/CSCS card, and minimum SVQ Level 3 in Data Cabling. Driving license is essential. IPAF would be preferred. The role itself will involve various duties including:
Installation of various structured data cabling systems such as- Cat5e, Cat6 & Cat6a & fibre.
Terminate and test cables to a high standard.
Tracing and fault finding data cabling using Fluke DSX and Link Runner data testers.
Fibre cabling of both multi-mode and single-mode fibre type cables – testing and terminating fibre cables using fibre splicing method.
Voice cabling and termination and testing of multicore cables
Installation of floor mounted and wall mounted communication cabinets including flat pack type cabinets.
Installation of various containment systems i.e. tray, basket tray, PVC trunking and conduit and installation of data cable matting.
Deployment of routers, APs and any other IT equipment as required
Work safely at all times following all induction protocol and escalate any risks to Project Manager
Complete jobsheets and sign offs in timely manner on company app
Complete tasks within given timescales of projects
