The Opportunity
We are looking for a technically minded and proactive Team Leader to support our EPD Department on the AM shift. You will have responsibility for managing production operators within a surface coating environment and providing technical leadership in Electrophoretic Deposition (E-coating / electrocoating) and/or anodising processes.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to lead by example, support team members, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the department.
The role is based on our AM shift:
Monday – Thursday, 06:00 – 15:30 (4-day working week).

Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the on-shift technical expert for E-coating and/or anodising operations, including pre-treatment, coating deposition, curing/sealing, and post-process inspection
- Monitor and control process parameters such as voltage, bath chemistry, temperature, pH, conductivity, and cycle times
- Ensure coating systems are maintained within specification, including filtration systems, rectifiers, rinse stages, and ovens
- Identify and troubleshoot process defects (e.g. poor adhesion, uneven coating, contamination, burning, blistering, or colour variation)
- Support continuous improvement of coating performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
- Liaise with Quality and Engineering teams regarding process validation, audits, and customer requirements

AM Shift - 36 hours per week - 09:00 - 15:30 Monday - Thursday
The Pay
£14.61 - £16.50 per hour
