Housing Link Ltd provides supported accommodation across Birmingham. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner / Handyman to join our team on a long-term basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our properties to a high standard through a combination of cleaning duties and basic property maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, communal areas, and external property areas.
- Deep cleaning rooms before new residents move in.
- Carrying out basic repairs and property maintenance.
- Replacing locks, door handles, light fittings, smoke alarm batteries, and other fixtures.
- Basic painting and decorating.
- Minor plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks and unblocking sinks.
- Conducting regular property checks and reporting larger repair issues.
- Ensuring all properties remain clean, safe, and presentable.
- Travelling between properties across Birmingham as required.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Access to your own vehicle.
- At least 1 year of experience in cleaning, property maintenance, handyman work, facilities management, housing, or a similar role.
- Good practical skills and ability to carry out basic repairs independently.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
