Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings as required
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for all clients at all times
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely is desirable
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous
- Knowledge of care plans and understanding of client needs
- Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills
- Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
