We have multiple positions for skilled Marine Electrical Technicians to join our team and support the safe, efficient and compliant execution of electrical maintenance, installations and project work. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced technician with a strong technical background and dedication to high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.
Key responsibilities
- Perform hands-on electrical tasks, including maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and installations
- Ensure all work meets electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Mentor and support team members with technical guidance
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Operations, Safety, and Quality teams on cross-functional tasks
- Maintain accurate records of work, parts usage and time allocation
- Assist with budgeting, materials ordering, and inventory management
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues to reduce downtime and enhance productivity
Essential requirements
- Strong recent experience in a complex, fast-paced manufacturing environment (ideally within maritime, automotive and / or aerospace industry).
- Recent and relevant experience leading electrical teams within the marine industry
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and industry standards
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Commitment to safe working practices and quality performance
Desirable qualifications and skills
- HNC / HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Proficiency with electrical drawings and schematics
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency
