Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team at Costa Coffee Oakham Drive Thru, part-time and full-time role. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service will ensure that every guest leaves with a smile.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while following proper food handling procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and offering recommendations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain a balanced till.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and support each other during peak hours.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or as a Barista is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders effectively.
- A friendly disposition with the ability to engage customers positively and provide assistance as needed.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
