About the Role
We are looking for an organised, reliable and proactive Stock & Procurement Coordinator to join the team at Full Circle Security Systems Limited.
This is an important role within the business, responsible for managing our stock and storeroom, ordering products and equipment, maintaining accurate stock levels and working closely with our suppliers and Service Coordinator to ensure our engineers have everything they need to complete their jobs.
You will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the storeroom and stock function, ensuring products are ordered in a timely manner, received and stored correctly, and are available when required.
This role would suit someone who is highly organised, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys working in a practical environment where they can take responsibility and make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day running and organisation of the storeroom
- Monitoring stock levels and identifying when products need to be reordered
- Ordering products, equipment, parts and consumables from approved suppliers
- Liaising with suppliers regarding availability, pricing, delivery times and orders
- Maintaining good working relationships with our key suppliers
- Checking deliveries against orders and ensuring products are received correctly
- Recording and processing stock received into the appropriate systems
- Ensuring stock is stored safely, securely and in an organised manner
- Maintaining accurate stock records
- Carrying out regular stock checks and stocktakes
- Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies
- Preparing products and equipment required for engineers' jobs
- Working closely with the Service Coordinator to understand upcoming job requirements
- Ensuring products are available ahead of scheduled service and installation work
- Identifying potential stock shortages before they impact an engineer or customer
- Managing returns, faulty products and supplier credits where required
- Monitoring outstanding orders and chasing suppliers when necessary
- Supporting the wider team with product and stock-related queries
- Keeping the storeroom clean, tidy and well organised
- Ensuring stock is handled and stored appropriately
- Looking for opportunities to improve our stock control and ordering processes
Working Closely With the Service Coordinator
A key part of the role will be working closely with the Service Coordinator.
The Service Coordinator will plan and allocate jobs to engineers, while you will ensure that the required products, parts and equipment are available for those jobs.
You will need to communicate regularly to understand what is coming up, identify what needs to be ordered and make sure everything is ready in advance.
The two roles will therefore work closely together to ensure that engineers arrive on site with the right products and equipment to complete the job properly and efficiently.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and methodical
- Reliable and dependable
- Proactive and able to use their own initiative
- Comfortable taking ownership of a role
- Detail-oriented and accurate
- Confident communicating with suppliers and colleagues
- Able to prioritise and manage multiple requirements
- Comfortable working to deadlines
- Practical and solutions-focused
- Confident using computers and stock/order management systems
- A good team player with a positive attitude
Previous experience in stock control, purchasing, procurement, stores, warehousing, engineering supplies or a similar role is a must.
Experience within the security, electrical, engineering or construction industries would also be beneficial.
The Person We're Looking For
We want someone who will take genuine ownership of the stock and storeroom function.
You will need to be someone who thinks ahead rather than simply reacting when something runs out. If an engineer needs a particular product next week, we want you to already be thinking about whether we have it, whether it needs ordering and whether it will arrive in time.
You should enjoy being organised and take pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to the business, improve the way we work and become an important part of the team.
