Role purpose
To support the delivery of HR activity at Providence Row Ensure robust legal governance
To contribute to the overall leadership of Providence Row as a member of the wider management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Outline a People Plan to coordinate the charities activities.
- Act as the single point of contact for HR matters for both employees and managers across the charity.
- Build a strong working relationship with managers.
- Take the lead on the deployment of HR initiatives internally. Maintain a thorough understanding and knowledge of legal requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and reduce legal risks.
- Provide HR support and regular ‘hands on’ coaching for managers.
- Lead on resolving HR matters and grievances and conduct unbiased investigations. Be a bridge between employees and management to reduce barriers to communication.
- Take feedback from employees and advise management on improving HR practices and resolving employee issues.
- Conduct regular review meetings with business units to review performance.
- Identify gaps, propose & implement changes necessary to improve weaknesses.
- Hold ‘open door’ HR surgeries to allow for issues to be addressed prior to escalation.
- Develop an annual training programme to ensure that the charity meets its objectives linked to upskilling. Provide support with recruitment and onboarding new employees.
- Analyse HR trends and metrics to develop solutions and programs. Produce and feed into reports as required for HR related information.
- Suggest new HR policies and agenda for continuous improvement. Provide planning and support on restructuring business units as and when needed.
- Suggest ways to build morale, improve workforce retention, and boost productivity.
- Contribute to the annual planning and budget setting process.
- Ensuring all activity is compliant with relevant charity and other statutory legislation.
- Ensure compliance with General Data Protection Regulations.
- Take on relevant duties and responsibilities as requested by the CEO to ensure the charity can remain effective. Work in accordance with Providence Row’s values, policies and procedures.
- Attend occasional events and other projects as needed. Attend evening and weekend meetings and functions as required.
