George Hill is a leading independent timber and building supplies provider in the North West, with branches in Oldham, Bolton, Sale and Nelson. Founded in 1919 we’re family run and have been for 106 years. We are currently looking for a Gate Security person to work within our busy timber yard at our Oldham branch.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Overseeing all traffic in and out of site
Directing customers and goods inwards around the site
Checking customers vehicles that the contents of the vehicle matches their invoice
Keeping the site entrance maintained
Reporting to managers any issues on site
Any other duties that may be required by the Company
Skills and Qualities
Timber and building material product knowledge
Good communication skills
Reliability and punctuality is a must.
Experience of working in a similar role will be advantageous
Organised and able to work on own initiative as well as in a team
Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
Ability to maintain simple records
Sufficient physical strength and agility to perform work required
Hours
Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm
Saturday 8am - 1pm
