Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical heating, ventilation, air conditioning domestic water services and public health services.
- Support system design activities, including modelling and simulation with the IES Virtual Environment.
- Conduct heating and cooling load calculations, ventilation and water pressure loss calculations, and ductwork and pipework sizing calculations for review by senior engineers.
- Attend meetings on MS Teams and in person with senior engineers and take notes on actions required.
- Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, including schematics, CAD drawings, specifications and scope of works documents.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to find common solutions.
Qualifications
- An accredited degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or another related discipline.
- Knowledge of mechanical principles, system design, and software tools that may be used.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, to be used with other members of the practice and with clients, manufacturers, contractors, etc..
- This role provides invaluable hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within a professional setting, fostering growth through mentorship and ongoing learning opportunities.
Pay: From £26,500.00 per year
