Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of Wennington Hall.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of hygiene, presentation, and guest satisfaction within our esteemed establishment.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in hospitality and janitorial services to lead a team and ensure the smooth operation of our housekeeping department.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, ensuring timely completion of daily, weekly, and specialised tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities to uphold quality standards.
- Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and linen, placing orders as necessary to maintain efficient operations.
- Train new staff members on cleaning procedures, health and safety regulations, and customer service expectations.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning activities around events or special functions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including hygiene standards and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Handle guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or a similar hospitality environment.
- Strong background in janitorial services with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations.
- Previous experience in training staff members is desirable.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards will be considered an advantage.
