Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and qualified HR Advisor to join our human resources team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting HR functions in social care ensuring effective communication across departments, and maintaining accurate employee records. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for people management and organisational development to contribute to a progressive organisation. The HR Advisor will be responsible for providing expert guidance on HR policies, managing HRIS systems, and assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes. The position is offered as a self-employed basis.
Duties
- Manage and maintain HR software systems.
- Support with recruitment, onboarding and training of all new staff.
- Applying for DBS and reference requests.
- Be able to take staff minutes of meeting and be able to write them up in an HR tone.
- Maintain and track staff training matrix.
- Supporting staff with wellbeing.
- Assist in employee relations by providing guidance on HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
- Coordinate with various departments to facilitate effective communication regarding HR initiatives and programmes.
- Maintain organised records of employee information.
- Contribute to the development of HR strategies by analysing data.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling interviews, preparing reports, and managing correspondence related to human resources activities.
Skills
- Proven experience in HR.
- Must have achieved some qualifications in HR.
- Strong understanding of human resources principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively liaise with staff at all levels.
- Proficiency in data entry.

- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
- Familiarity with administrative processes related to human resources functions in social care.
Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
