Oakleigh Residential Care Home is a friendly, CQC-registered 24-bed dementia residential care home, and we are looking for an experienced Part-Time Cook/Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a Cook or Chef, ideally within a care home, healthcare, or similar catering environment, and hold an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Professional Cookery, Catering, Hospitality, or an equivalent recognised qualification. A current Food Hygiene Certificate is essential. You will be responsible for preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals that meet the dietary, nutritional, and cultural needs of our residents living with dementia, including modified and specialist diets where required. We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable, and passionate about delivering high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and safety. A caring, compassionate, and dementia-friendly approach is essential, as mealtimes are a vital part of our residents' wellbeing and quality of life. This is a part-time position with a competitive, negotiable salary, depending on experience.
