Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Level 3 Room Leader to oversee and support the daily operations within our early childhood education setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and fostering their development. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team of early years practitioners, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering high-quality childcare in accordance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of early years practitioners, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained at all times.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care by adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and guidance.
- Contribute to the organisation of daily routines, including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to childcare provision.
Qualifications
- Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education.
- Proven management or leadership experience within a nursery or childcare setting.
- Extensive experience working directly with children across various age groups.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early years education.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively whilst maintaining a positive working environment.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties related to the role.
