09.00 – 5.00 including one hour for lunch (10.00am to 4.00pm also considered

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible to the Accounts Manager for the day to day operational tasks of dealing with a large portfolio collecting service charge and ground rent from residents/leaseholders. This role offers the support to the Property Management Team, ensures customers are satisfied, and operations comply with all applicable laws and company policies.

This is an excellent opportunity for an all-round Accounts Assistant to become a member of our team. As an integral part of the business, you will provide essential accounting and administrative support, dealing with purchase and sales ledger, entering invoices for payment and processing, supporting the Accounts Manager with monthly reconciliations of client accounts, data entry and providing full administrative support to the team and residents.
Responsibilities
· Payment receipt and processing
· Purchase/Sales Ledger
· Statement sending as required
· Credit control
· Raising and sending invoices for ground rent and service charge
· Support month-end and year-end accounting procedures
· Produce financial reports for the property management team
· Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
· Chase overdue customer accounts by telephone, email and written correspondence
· Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies
· Resolve customer account queries professionally and promptly
· Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities
· Build positive relationships with customers
Skills
· Accounting experience essential
· Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook
· Strong administrative skills and time management
· Work on your own initiative or as part of a team
· Dealing with all incoming accounts queries from leaseholders and providing answers to queries raised

Salary Range: £24,000 – £25,750 for a 35 hour week, pro-rata’d if less hours worked
Pay: £24,000.00-£25,750.00 per year
