Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced CPCS / NPORS Certified Telehandler operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating telehandlers to move, lift, and position materials across various construction sites. Your mechanical knowledge and expertise with heavy machinery will ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while honing your skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate CPCS / NPORS certified telehandlers safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Load, unload, and transport materials with precision, ensuring stability and safety at all times
- Conduct routine inspections of the telehandler to identify maintenance needs or potential issues
- Assist with the setup and positioning of equipment such as excavators or other heavy machinery as needed
- Follow all safety protocols, including site-specific procedures and PPE requirements
- Collaborate with site managers and team members to coordinate material deliveries and placements
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, inspections, and any incidents or anomalies
Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS certification for Telehandler operation with relevant categories
- Proven experience operating telehandlers in a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance checks
- Experience working with excavators or other heavy machinery is a plus
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Valid driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred
