Job Description:
Due to a continued growth in our sales in 2026, the Wicked Cake Company are looking for suitable candidates to join our Bakery on our afternoon shift in a variety of different roles. The successful candidates will be trained and developed to fulfil key roles within our processing and packing teams.
Working for our Bakery Production Manager and with our existing bakery team leaders the successful candidates will be trained within each area of our bakery from product batching where all our products begin their life, through to flow wrapping and packing our products ready for our customers.
Our PM shift is a standard 2pm-10pm shift, but it spends large parts of the year only working 10am -6pm, and only reverts to a 2pm-10pm during busy sales periods.
The successful candidates will ideally have the following characteristics and experience.
- Bakery or food manufacturing experience would be beneficial, but not a requirement as training will be given. Although previous training would accelerate the training programme.
- You will be willing to learn with a ‘can do’ attitude at all times.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English and be confident in filling in documents and have a strong attention to detail, as we have several systems for H&S and Food Safety which must be adhered to.
- You must have the ability to work on your own initiative and build strong relationships with colleagues.
- You have experience of working in a team or with customers
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 10kg weights on a regular basis, stand for long periods of time, bend, reach, push, pull.
- Must be able to work overtime when needed
