We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Responsibilities
- Offer personalised support to individuals, helping them achieve their personal goals and develop life skills
- Mentoring children and young people, fostering confidence and independence
- Assist with daily activities, including educational tasks and recreational activities
- Support behavioural management strategies in line with organisational policies
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to ensure the wellbeing of those supported
- Create engaging learning opportunities through teaching and guidance tailored to individual needs
- Maintain accurate records of progress and activities undertaken during shifts
- Promote a positive environment that encourages growth, learning, and safety
Qualifications
- Experience or interest in working with children or vulnerable individuals is desirable
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ development
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst also demonstrating initiative
- Organised with good time management skills
- Relevant qualifications or training in teaching or social care are advantageous but not essential
