Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented self employed Head Housekeeper - Spot Checker to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of guest rooms, suites, and public spaces
- Conduct regular spot checks and inspections to verify cleanliness, safety, and adherence to hotel standards
- Train new team members on cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and customer service expectations
- Coordinate with front desk and maintenance teams to address guest requests and resolve issues promptly
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to maintain operational flow
- Enforce health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members
- Provide feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations to promote team development and motivation
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety standards, and hospitality best practices
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing improvement during inspections
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Good communication skills for clear instructions and positive interactions with staff and guests
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during shifts
- Prior experience with hotel operations or supervisory roles is highly preferred
- Must be available on Fridays and Mondays
