Position: Funeral Arranger / Administrator
Location: Sudbury
Employment Type: Part-time - Job share, holiday and sickness cover required
Salary: £8,037.00
Working days: Thursday & Friday, 10am to 4pm

About the Role
As a Funeral Arranger / Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for families, guiding them with empathy and professionalism through the funeral planning process. You will ensure every detail is handled with care, accuracy, and respect.
Key Responsibilities
- Meeting with bereaved families to arrange funeral services
- Providing clear guidance on available options, costs, and legal requirements
- Coordinating with clergy, celebrants, crematoria, cemeteries, and third parties
- Preparing and processing legal documentation
- Managing diaries, bookings, and administrative records
- Handling payments and maintaining accurate financial records
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures
About You
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate, calm, and professional manner
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion
- Confident using office software and case management systems
- Previous experience in funeral services or a customer-facing administrative role (preferred but not essential)
- Full driving licence essential
