Overview
We are looking for an experienced Blind/Shutter installer to join our growing team in a leadership position. Must have experience plus, also having experience in none standard windows plus motorisation.
As the Head Fitter, you will oversee all aspects of fitting operations, ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency across various construction projects. Your expertise will drive the success of our installation teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and uphold the highest standards in craftsmanship. Duties
- Lead and coordinate the fitting team to ensure accurate and timely installation of components across multiple projects
- Oversee the interpretation of technical schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to guide fitting procedures
- Ensure all fittings are completed in accordance with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications
- Conduct quality inspections during and after installation to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and durability
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to streamline workflows and resolve on-site challenges promptly
- Train and mentor team members on best practices for fitting techniques, safety protocols, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Maintain detailed records of work progress, materials used, and compliance documentation for each project
Requirements
- Proven experience in blinds and shutter installations
- Strong knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings relevant to construction fitting tasks
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment, and fabrication machinery
- Experience supervising or leading a team within a construction environment is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving on-site issues quickly and effectively
