Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Tipper Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy goods vehicles equipped with tipping mechanisms to deliver materials efficiently and reliably. Duties
- Safely operate HGV trucks with tipping capabilities to transport bulk materials to various delivery sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring all safety checks are completed thoroughly.
- Load and unload materials accurately, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transit.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures during driving and delivery operations.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Assist with loading or unloading when necessary, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driving professional, specifically with flatbed or tipper trucks preferred.
- Valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) license with relevant classifications for tipper operations.
- Delivery driver experience demonstrating punctuality, reliability, and excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations, vehicle maintenance procedures, and load securing techniques.
- Familiarity with routes planning and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency.
