About the Role
As part of our award-winning Property Litigation department, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert guidance and litigation solutions for various property-related disputes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage your own caseload, primarily focused on landlord and tenant disputes, disrepair claims, and TOLATA matters.
What You Will Do:
- Independently Manage Caseloads: Handle landlord and tenant disputes and privately funded work for national clients in a client-facing role.
- Ongoing Training: Enhance your property law knowledge and stay updated on key legislative changes.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and deliver exceptional service.
- Accurate Record-Keeping: Maintain precise notes on our case management system and ensure billing accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to external referrer requirements and service level agreements.
- Networking: Represent the firm at marketing events and identify opportunities for team growth.
What We Are Looking For:
We seek a qualified Solicitor (or a highly experienced paralegal) with a solid understanding of landlord and tenant law, familiar with the Renting Homes Wales Act and the new Renters Rights Act in England. Key qualifications include:
- Experience in possessions, court advocacy, and HMO disputes.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Ability to empathise with clients, especially those in sensitive situations.
- A detail-oriented mindset and the capacity to thrive under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Commercial awareness and the drive to exceed targets.
You will not be replacing a team member, but you would be adding to our team of talented lawyers.
