Company Description:
We are a PCO car rental company supplying vehicles to private hire drivers. We handle our own accident claims, including repair, recovery, storage and replacement (credit hire) vehicles. We are looking for a junior–mid level Claims Handler to join our in-house team.
Role Description:
Location: Ruislip, London
Hours: Full-time, office-based.
Reports to: Business Development Manager.
Experience: 2–4 years in motor claims / credit hire (essential).
Training on our internal systems and PCO processes will be provided.
About the role:
Main Responsibilities.
- Take calls from drivers after an accident and log all details accurately.
- Open new claims on the system and complete basic forms / paperwork.
- Liaise with insurers and accident management / solicitors to progress claims.
- Help arrange repair, recovery, storage and replacement vehicles (credit hire).
- Chase insurers regularly for updates, liability decisions and payments.
- Keep driver and internal team updated on claim progress.
- File all documents properly and keep notes clear and up to date.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years’ experience in UK motor claims, credit hire or accident management.
- Good understanding of the basic claims process (FNOL → repair/hire → settlement).
- Strong attention to detail and very accurate with forms, dates and documents.
- Good memory and able to remember details across multiple files.
- Comfortable following procedures and checklists exactly – “by the book” attitude.
- Confident on the phone with insurers and drivers.
- Basic IT skills (emails, Word, Excel, simple case management systems).
Personality / Working Style
- Careful and organized – doesn’t like making mistakes.
- Likes routine, structure and following a clear process.
- Persistent with chasing, but polite and professional.

Salary:
- £25,000-£28,000 per annul depending on experience
