Experienced Seamstress / Dressmaker – Part-Time
We are looking for an experienced seamstress or dressmaker to join us part-time.
The work is mainly alterations to ladies’ clothing.
We need someone who has experience with jobs such as:
- Making dresses and skirts longer or shorter
- Making sleeves longer or shorter
- Taking clothes in to make them smaller
- Letting clothes out to make them wider
- Altering dresses and tops around the neck
- General clothing alterations and repairs
We are looking for someone who already has good sewing experience, but we do not expect you to know everything. If you are comfortable using a sewing machine and have experience doing clothing alterations, we would be happy to hear from you.
Hours
Approximately 8 hours per week, either:
2 days per week × around 4 hours
Or once a day for a full 8 hours or less.
Days are between Sunday to Thursday
When we are busier, there may be more hours available.
For the right person who works well and is experienced, there is also the possibility of increasing the hours in the future, potentially leading to a longer-hours or full-time position.
We are looking for someone reliable, friendly and comfortable working independently.
