The Ailean Chraggan Hotel is a small family run business in Aberfeldy PH15 2LD. We are small team which means everyone is treated like family here.
We are looking for a Front of House Supervisor to join the team and help push the business forward. Previous hospitality experience is preferred but training can be provided. This is a hands-on role which could see you taking room reservations, serving behind the bar or taking food orders.
You will be working 5 days out of 7, approximately 40 hours a week, with a mixture of day shifts and evening shifts. Part time hours can be offered. You will be paid by BACs on the last Friday of each month, and will receive a share of the gratuities each week.
The Job Role:
- Working alongside the manager the successful applicant will oversee the day to day operation of the Ailean Chraggan Hotel.
- Supervision of the front of house team, ensuring the smooth running of all breakfast, lunch, and dinner operations, dealing with reception check in/out period, to checking bedrooms with housekeeping.
- To ensure that guests receive an efficient, friendly, consistent and personalised service from yourself and all members of the team.
- Assisting in developing the front of house team through training, guidance and communication
- Supervision of all statutory and company regulations relating to health & safety, hygiene, fire and emergency procedures.
- To be responsible for taking of monies, cashing up and floats and use of our till system.
- To be responsible for opening/locking up of the Ailean Chraggan Hotel & Restaurant in the absence of the manager.
- Be a key point of contact for guests, customers and all members of the team.
- Ensure that all company processes and operating procedures are adhered to.
Our Ideal Candidate
You will have experience of working hands on within the hospitality industry or be keen to learn.
No formal qualifications necessary as training will be provided as required.
Strong customer service, time management skills, an attention to detail and good communication skills are all vital
Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and a natural engaging leader.
Must be well presented.
Will have a passion for working with people and an enthusiastic attitude.
Outgoing personality and good communication skills.
Will have strong organisational and planning skills.
Ablity to work well under pressure.
