About the Role
As our Wellbeing Assistant, you'll create and deliver a varied programme of activities with our Wellbeing Team tailored to each resident's interests, abilities and personal preferences. You'll encourage participation, promote wellbeing and help residents maintain fulfilling and active lifestyles.
Working closely with the Registered Manager and care team, you'll ensure our activities programme meets CQC expectations while creating memorable experiences for everyone living at Rusthall Lodge.
What You'll Be Doing
- Plan and deliver a varied weekly programme of meaningful activities.
- Get to know each resident, their hobbies, interests, life story and individual preferences.
- Encourage residents to take part in physical, social, creative, spiritual and cultural activities.
- Organise seasonal celebrations, themed events and special occasions.
- Arrange entertainment, community visits and external outings where appropriate.
- Work alongside care staff to encourage resident participation throughout the day.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers and the local community.
- Promote wellbeing and independence while respecting each resident's choices and dignity.
- Complete activity records, interest profiles and relevant risk assessments.
- Monitor the success of activities and adapt programmes to meet residents' changing needs.
- Manage activity resources within the allocated budget.
- Ensure all activities are delivered safely and in line with CQC standards and company policies.

- Previous experience in a care home, activities, wellbeing or customer-facing role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working Hours
- Part-time
- Monday to Sunday on a rota basis
- Every other weekend required
