Location: Cotswold House Care Home, Church Road, Cainscross, Stroud, GL5 4JE
Salary: £13.75 ph with paid breaks.
Hours: 3 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), 7.30am to 2.30pm

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Cook to join our friendly team and assist in the the day-to-day running of our kitchen.
Our medium-sized care home supports up to 45 residents with nursing, residential, and dementia care needs. We take pride in providing a varied, nutritious, and home-cooked menu that residents look forward to enjoying each day.
While training can be provided, experience in catering for older people, along with knowledge of nutritional requirements in elderly care and the IDDSI framework, would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for residents
- Managing weekly food ordering and stock control
- Reviewing and developing menus in collaboration with the Home Manager
- Maintaining and completing Safer Food Better Business documentation
- Ensuring all cleaning schedules are followed
- Adhering to all health and safety and food hygiene regulations
You will work alongside a small, friendly kitchen team, including assisting with the induction and training of new kitchen staff where required.
We are proud to hold a 5-star Food Hygiene rating. You will be supported during your shifts by a dedicated Kitchen Assistant, as well as the Home Manager and a committed wider team.
Requirements:
- A relevant Food Hygiene Certificate
- Willingness to attend training and staff meetings as required
