A specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Havant is looking for a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to support boys aged 11–16.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support students both inside and outside the classroom. You will help create a positive learning environment, encourage engagement, and support pupils in managing their social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people is essential.
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Ability to build positive and professional relationships with students.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, calm, and consistent approach to supporting young people.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, Mon-Fri.
Desirable
- Previous experience working within a school or an alternative provision.
- Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs, SEND, or challenging
