Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Sampler to join their growing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, enjoys working with data, and is passionate about continuous improvement. Working closely with production teams and site management, you'll play a key role in monitoring material quality, reducing contamination, and supporting efficient site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and sample sorted material streams to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Identify, monitor, and document contamination levels in inbound and outbound materials.
- Collect, record, and analyse quality data, producing accurate reports for supervisors and management.
- Work alongside production staff and machine operators to resolve quality issues in real time.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce contamination and maximise material recovery.
- Maintain sampling and measurement equipment, including tablets, scales, sampling conveyors, and vibration screens.
- Support the development of quality assurance procedures.
- Assist the Environmental Technician during peak operational periods when required.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with company policies and health & safety procedures.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A proactive, results-driven attitude with a passion for continuous improvement.
- An understanding of production, manufacturing, recycling, or waste management processes (or a willingness to learn).
- The flexibility to adapt to changing operational requirements.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
