The Role
As a Petroleum Multi-Drop Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of fuel and lubricants to domestic, agricultural and commercial customers throughout the region.
This is a customer-facing role requiring excellent driving skills, attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries of petroleum products using tanker vehicles.
- Load and unload products safely in accordance with ADR regulations and company procedures.
- Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and complete all required defect reporting.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately using electronic delivery systems and paperwork.
- Follow planned delivery routes while adapting to customer requirements where necessary.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
- Adhere to all Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph legislation.
- Comply with all health, safety, environmental and operational procedures.
- Report incidents, near misses, vehicle defects and customer issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Full UK HGV
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- ADR Certificate or willingness to obtain (training may be available for the right candidate).
- Excellent knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Road Transport legislation.
- Good geographical knowledge of the local area.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Safety-conscious with excellent attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Previous experience delivering petroleum or hazardous goods.
- Experience in multi-drop tanker operations.
- Agricultural or commercial fuel delivery experience.
Working Hours
- Full-time permanent position.
- Early starts as required.
- Monday to Friday with additional weekend work during busy seasonal periods.
- Overtime available and paid at enhanced rates.
