About the Role: London is a global hub for sustainability and green innovation, and at CAT Environmental & Material Solutions, we bring that same high standard to environmental compliance and material tracking. We transform complex corporate data into actionable sustainability insights. We believe that environmental reporting shouldn't be a bureaucratic headache—it should drive real-world ecological change. We are looking for an Environmental Data & Compliance Analyst to take ownership of our UK environmental data pipelines. You aren't just crunching numbers; you are shaping compliance strategy. You will sit at the intersection of regulatory standards, data science, and material management, translating complex datasets into clear, impactful stories for key stakeholders.
Why Work With Us?
- The Environment: Our London workspace is designed for collaboration and innovation. We value an office culture that fuels curiosity—bright open spaces, vibrant energy, and team-first momentum.
- Data Maturity: We don't need you to convince us that accurate data matters. We know it does. Environmental metrics sit at the very heart of our business model and leadership decisions.
- Modern Stack: We leverage best-in-class tools like Power BI, SQL, and Advanced Excel to build seamless dashboards and automated reporting workflows.
- Growth: We invest in your professional development, providing access to industry training, sustainability certifications, and conferences to keep your regulatory and analytical edge sharp.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Systems Ownership: Collect, clean, and manage environmental datasets covering carbon emissions, energy usage, waste streams, and material recovery.
- End-to-End Compliance: Oversee regulatory reporting from data collection and audit preparation to statutory filings under UK environmental frameworks (such as EPR and SECR).
- Analytics & Dashboards: Build, maintain, and refine interactive dashboards that transform raw environmental metrics into digestible visual reports for internal and external partners.
- Risk & Auditing: Conduct data audits across supply chains to verify material provenance, identify compliance risks, and ensure regulatory alignment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present findings directly to leadership and clients. You can explain the "why" behind environmental metrics, not just state the numbers.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Proven experience in environmental data analytics, sustainability consulting, or regulatory compliance reporting within the UK market.
- Analytical Portfolio: A strong track record of building data models, automated reporting tools, or compliance dashboards that solve complex data challenges.
- Tooling: Highly proficient in data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, Advanced Excel, SQL) and carbon/waste reporting tools.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Sound understanding of UK environmental policy, material handling standards, and corporate ESG reporting frameworks.
- Mindset: You are detail-oriented and pragmatic. You know how to balance rigorous compliance standards with practical business solutions.
Pay: £42,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
