As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Perform detailed inspections of vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs or adjustments as necessary.
- Document test results accurately and provide clear feedback to vehicle owners regarding any issues found.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when required, ensuring that all equipment is handled safely.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in vehicle testing are desirable but not essential.
